About

I am a Clinical Psychologist specializing in the treatment PTSD, substance use/addiction issues, and anxiety. I also work with clients experiencing insomnia, depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, chronic pain, and life issues such as grief, personal growth, and relationship problems. I take a trauma-informed, biopsychosocial approach to treatment and believe in treating the whole person, rather than just focusing on symptom management. My commitment to a strength-based approach to treatment guides my work.

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I am especially interested in the intersection of trauma, addiction, and chronic pain. I have undergone training in order deliver evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including EMDR and Prolonged Exposure. I take an integrative approach to treatment with an emphasis on utilizing mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I believe that there is no single approach that will work for everyone, so it is important to take time to find out what each client’s needs are and meet each person where they are at.

I received my B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego.
